1. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google, we receive account details such as your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile photo where available. You may choose a community display name.

Profile and preference information

You may optionally provide a country, age group, travel style, budget style, interests, and preferred currency. Your username is required for contributing; the other profile details are optional.

Content and activity

We store places, descriptions, location metadata, budgets, photos, links, comments, wishlists, travel actions, drafts, edit requests, and related moderation records that you submit or create.

Technical and discovery information

We may store broad signals such as timezone, approximate country/region/city, current country, detected currency, explicit signed-in search activity, and aggregate interaction counts. We do not store raw IP addresses or browser-language values.

Browser storage

We use browser storage for features such as currency preference, cached exchange rates, and keeping relevant open pages in sync.

2. How we use information

• Provide authentication, profiles, discovery, submissions, comments, wishlists, and travel actions.
• Review submissions and edits before they become public.
• Moderate community content, prevent misuse, and protect the service.
• Show aggregate community and discovery insights to administrators.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the website.
• Respond to questions, requests, or concerns.

3. What is public

Published listings, uploaded listing photos, community display names, comments, and aggregate engagement counts may be visible to anyone. Drafts, pending submissions, pending edits, optional profile details, email addresses, moderation records, and admin statistics are not intended for public display.

Do not submit personal, confidential, or sensitive information in public listing descriptions, photos, links, or comments.

4. Services we rely on

The website uses third-party services to operate. These services may process information under their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase for authentication, database storage, file storage, and cloud functions.
• Google Maps and Places for location search and map-related features.
• Exchange-rate and approximate-location services for currency and broad profile insights.
• External links such as Instagram, YouTube, and user-submitted map links when you choose to open them.

5. Retention and deletion

We retain information while it is needed to operate the service, meet moderation and security needs, or comply with legal obligations. Some aggregate or historical records may remain after content is removed. Deleting a listing does not currently guarantee immediate deletion of every related wishlist, travel-action, comment, or historical engagement record.

You can delete your own comments and eligible posts through available website controls. For account or broader data-deletion requests, contact us using the address below.

6. Security and your choices

We use access rules and administrative controls designed to protect private information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your Google account secure and contact us if you believe your account or content has been misused.

You can choose not to provide optional profile information. You can also change eligible profile preferences, remove comments, archive or delete eligible posts, and manage wishlist or travel actions through the website.

7. Children and policy changes

The service is not knowingly directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the situation.

We may update this policy as the website changes. The effective date at the top will be updated when material revisions are published.
